Stressed has become a normal state of being and while technology eases the burden for some of us, it also adds anxiety for others. In a world where everything is on the go and people tend to have it all together, for some of us, getting through the day can be hard.

...a few moments of your day to do anything that makes you feel good about yourself without external intervention. We've all been there - standing in the shower for 10 minutes longer, savoring the last piece of chocolate, or dancing like nobody's watching.
THAT IS SELF-CARE - putting yourself first when no one is watching.
Your body grows and thrives in those moments. Each time you do something to make yourself happy, your brain cognitively rewires itself to reach that state again - much easier the next time. And whether we want to admit it to ourselves or not we are all ultimately seeking happiness - from a significant other, money, family, and careers.
Changing your partner, financial status, and family is hard, changing your daily routine to include self-care is not. A few minutes a day provides confidence, encouragement, and understanding that we often seek from others. Be your best self so no one else can tell you otherwise.
Learn to respect yourself so no one else can act otherwise.
And build your self-esteem so no one else can ever tear it down again. Self-care is not selfish because you can't help others if you can't help yourself. Prioritizing what is important to you will leave you feeling lighter, refreshed, and relaxed without the expense of a spa!
